Welcome

Thai massage, or Nuat Thai, is a 2500 year old form of bodywork with roots tied to both Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine.

Often referred to as "lazy man's yoga", traditional Thai massage offers many of the benefits of yoga with the therapist providing additional support, assistance and encouragement for the client to relax.

Mark Boone with clientThe Thai massage practitioner applies pressure to soft tissue and energy lines using the hands, feet, elbows and knees while simultaneously stretching the body, and moving it through passive range of motion. It is performed on a padded mat with the client comfortably dressed, and allows the practitioner more leverage for applying pressure to muscles and energy lines in unique ways.

A typical Thai session is between 1½ to 2 hours long and very effectively covers the entire body. Thai massage is designed as a meditative practice for both the client and the practitioner and reflects a state of kindness and compassion. The benefits of Thai massage are holistic and contribute to the overall physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing of the client.

Every session gives the practitioner valuable information and feedback on a client's condition and flexibility which leads the practitioner to the proper treatment. Regular sessions help maintain health by increasing flexibility, helping the body eliminate toxins from the joints and soft tissue, and reducing stress.
